Isn’t it strange that Irish landlords are being turned into State agents? Irish landlords have been given the task to collect the water charges from their tenants. If Irish landlords let the State get a way with this, they will soon collect TV licence fees and anything else the State might come up with in future. And while Irish landlords collect State “debts”, why not start collecting for suppliers such as phone companies, electricity providers, cable TV providers etc?
