From the very beginning of Renua (formerly Reboot Ireland) I was interested in their agenda. I really believed in their ideas and was delighted that the party found so many candidates. However, I very quickly noticed that Renua never really engaged with the media. Whether it was the newly formed Social Democrats, AAA/PBP or Independent Alliance, every one of those groups was out and about before and during the campaign, leading up to the 2016 general election. Who was missing? Renua. I should have known better, but I actually gave Renua my first preference, still hoping that I was misreading the failings of this party’s efforts. I was wrong. I’m especially disappointed for the party’s candidates who were let down by the party’s failure to bring across their policies. I believe that the leadership of the party is not fit for the job to bring the party forward.
